Documentation required Couples Resorts require you to upload the following original documents onto the wedding calendar and these must be uploaded at least 6 weeks in advance. Please ensure that we also have your full and current postal address. Non-English passport holders must have the documents translated and certified/notarised. Wedding date and time must be confirmed in advance on the Wedding Calendar located on the website. The copies of (will remain in the files of the Jamaican Government) - Birth certificate Divorce decree (if applicable) first and last pages, and any pages which pertains to the female's use of last name. - Death certificate (if applicable) - Copy of Photo ID or Passport - Professional English translation required (if applicable) - Age of consent if under 18 years of age - Cover letter with advising Dates of Travel, Address, phone or fax numbers, Occupations, Wedding date and time confirmed.
Notarization requires taking original documents to a notary, who will make a copy and notarize them, stating he/she has seen the originals. For vow renewals, an un-notarized copy of your marriage license can be uploaded on the Wedding Calendar. This needs to be received at least 45 days prior to the ceremony date.
NOTE: With regards to Divorce Papers: If these papers do not state the word “final” or “dissolved”, they cannot be accepted. The hotels can only accept divorce papers that say “Final Decree”, “Final Judgement” or “Dissolution of Marriage”. The hotel must receive the final divorced judgment that shows that the court ruling took place, and also the case/file/index number for the divorce.
Day Passes: For Off property guests wishing to attend a wedding, there are four types of passes: - Wedding Ceremony Only Pass (2 hours with arrival 30 minutes prior to the ceremony) - Half Day Pass [10:00 am - 6:00 pm] - Full Day Pass [10:00 am - 11:30 pm] - Evening Pass [6:00 pm – 1:00am]
All Guests must be 18 years and older to attend a wedding, Children can attend the ceremony and photography only - on a request basis at the discretion of the resort’s General Manager, please enquire with regards to the cost. Please make sure that all documentation is uploaded to the wedding calendar no later than 6 weeks prior to departure.
